The European shares rose on Friday, reversing a two-day decline, boosted by Denmark's Novo Nordisk.
The Eurofirst 300 advanced 0.22% to 1577.75, paring its weekly losses to 2.1%.
Novo Nordisk soared 10.4%, after the company said it will unveil data about its new Insulin drug.
German's DAX inched up 0.21%, and France's CAC was up 0.55%. However, the UK's FTSE 100 declined 0.58%.
